NEW HOMEWORK:
The kindergarten team is doing their part to help save paper and ink. As you may have seen, our homework packets have changed. Math has stayed the same (2 practice pages) but Language Arts has been scaled down to fit on one page and students are required to attach their proof of work to receive full credit. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email me or stop by the classroom.

Writing:
  • Opinion
    • My favorite animal is...
Math:
  • Finish Chapter 14: Number Facts
    • Students will be able to compose and decompose numbers to 10
    • Students will be able to combine sets to make 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10
    • Students will be able to combine sets and say how many more are needed to make 10
    • Students will be able to compose and decompose numbers to 20
    • Students will be able to count on using a number line
    • Students will be able to combine two sets to find how many more for sums through 15
    • Key terms: number bond, part, and whole
Science:
  • Begin Chapter 5: Earth and Sky
    • Students will be able to tell about water and land covering earth
    • Students will be able to tell when the sun, clouds, and moon can be seen in the sky
    • Students will be able to tell where the sun seems to be in the sky at different times of day
    • Students will be able to tell when the moon, clouds, and stars can be seen in the sky

Tinker Fair Supply List

March 16th-20th we will be working on a science Tinker Fair activity, which will be displayed at our next Awards Assembly. We will be building Paper Roller Coasters. We are in need of some general supplies. If you could donate any of the following, it would be greatly appreciated!


Card Stock- 1 or 2 reams should be enough
construction paper- we have some, but we are low on colors like red, brown, and light blue
glue sticks (Our class is running low)
masking tape- 5-6 rolls
